How to plant grapes on a balcony
Do you know about these? Tips and experiences on how to plant grapes on a balcony and the steps and process of grape cultivation. Next, the editor of this site will introduce to everyone.
For friends with a terrace or a larger, uncovered balcony, not only can they grow flowers and vegetables, but they can also plant some potted fruits. For example, planting a pot of grapes is very good. Grapes are heat, sun, and cold tolerant, prefer a growth environment with plenty of sunlight, and produce many delicious, sweet, and nutritious fruits.
There are also some friends, experienced in growing grapes, who directly find grape branches and propagate them by cutting or grafting, such as round-leaf grapes, sunny grapes, many varieties. We can graft any type we like. Of course, for ordinary beginners in flower and plant cultivation, it's better to buy some reliable seedlings to plant, and choose different grape seedlings according to personal preferences.
After planting, first take care of the grape seedlings, and it would be even better if they grow into trees. Only by making the seedlings stronger and more lush, with more vines and branches, can they potentially produce more fruits and flowers.
A friend of mine has a good suggestion and experience. This method is especially suitable for grape trees grown on terraces, roof platforms, or in the yard, especially for potted grape trees in larger pots or directly planted outdoors, not very suitable for potted grape trees on indoor balconies.
1. The first trick to make potted grapes bear more fruit
To grow the grape seedlings well and bear more fruit next year, the first thing to do is fertilization. If there is organic fertilizer at home, it is best to use it, as it is natural. Although it may not be as fast as chemical fertilizers, it will improve the quality of the soil.
Fermented sheep manure or chicken manure, or other types of cake fertilizers, can all be used. They can be placed at the bottom of the flower pot as base fertilizer or used as top dressing, buried in the potting soil of the flower pot.
This is one method. Another is if the flower pot is large or the grape trees are grown in a flower bed on the ground, and no organic fertilizer can be found, this friend directly collects some fish intestines and scales after eating fish at the market or at home and composts them into organic fertilizer.
This process does not take long. Mixed with water and placed in an empty oil drum or other containers, sealed, it will become good organic fertilizer in about a few months.
