Junzhi is a tree, 5-10 meters tall; the bark is dark brown, and young branches have gray pubescence. The leaves are elliptical to oblong, the flowers are light yellow or light red, solitary or clustered in the leaf axils; the fruit is nearly spherical, mature fruit is blue-black with a white wax layer, nearly sessile.
