Sixiangteng, a climbing shrub, 3-7 meters tall. The young branches are robust, with alternate simple leaves, the leaves are papery, ovate-triangular; the umbel inflorescence is opposite to the leaves, belonging to the corymb inflorescence, with oblong petals; the berries are ovoid, flowering period is from September to November, fruiting period is from October to the following February. It prefers a high-temperature semi-shaded environment and is afraid of severe cold. It is not strict with soil requirements, grows well in fertile, well-drained sandy loam. It has medicinal value, with the effects of dispelling wind and activating collaterals, dispersing blood stasis and promoting blood circulation. It is commonly used for rheumatic joint pain, lumbar muscle strain, and trauma from falls.
