Thick-leafed jasmin is a kind of twining shrub, 1-9 meters high. The young branches are yellowish-brown, cylindrical or flat and forming obtuse angles. The leaves are opposite, simple, and the leaf blades are leathery, turning yellowish-brown or brown when dry, broadly ovate, ovate, or elliptical, sometimes nearly round, rarely lanceolate. The corymbose inflorescence is dense and head-like, terminal or axillary, with many flowers; the corolla is white, and the flowers are fragrant.
