Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, also known as China Rose, Red Rose, and China Rose Tree, is an evergreen large shrub in the Malvaceae family. The stems are erect and branched, with a crown shape of a distant rectangle, reaching up to 6 meters tall. The leaves are alternate, broad ovate to narrow ovate, 7-10 cm long, with 3 main veins, apex acuminate or acuminate, leaf margins with coarse锯齿 or notches, base nearly entire, glabrous or slightly pubescent on the back of the veins, resembling mulberry leaves. The flowers are large, with pendulous or upright peduncles, singly in the upper leaf axils, and can be single or double-petaled; single-petaled flowers are funnel-shaped, usually rose red, while double-petaled flowers are not funnel-shaped, and come in red, yellow, pink, white, etc., blooming throughout the year, with the most flowers in summer and autumn.
