The Red Peony is a perennial succulent plant in the Cactus family. It has an oblate spherical shape, 3 to 6 centimeters in diameter, with a bright red color, and mature individuals produce offspring balls in clusters. The flowers of the Red Peony are slender, with a funnel-shaped corolla tube, blooming in pink or light pink during the summer. The flowers are delicate and resemble peonies, with slender, spindle-shaped, red fruits. The seeds are dark brown. When the Red Peony blooms, at least half of the spherical plant must receive strong sunlight for a day for the buds to bloom more easily. If not properly cared for, the Red Peony is prone to dropping its flower buds.
