The White Crown, also known as the Fluffy Fan, is a small variety. The plant is shrub-like with small tuberous roots, easily forming clusters, with a single plant diameter of about 3-4 centimeters, light brown-red or light dark green, irregular conical or cylindrical shape. The areoles are flat, with 7-16 soft spines, and the areoles have fine pubescence. The flowers of the White Crown are light yellow and require cross-pollination.
The White Crown is not very tolerant of intense sunlight, and the tuberous roots are prone to rotting, so the soil should be well-draining and allow for quick water permeability. During the growing season, it should be watered only when the soil is completely dry, and mature plants should be watered less frequently.
In summer, the plant does not go dormant and requires slight shading and good ventilation.
