Cactus (Ball) Purple Gold Shrimp Plant Introduction

The Purple Gold Shrimp is a succulent plant belonging to the Antler Cactus Genus of the Cactus Family. The plant has a columnar shape, with the grey-white spines becoming more vivid and transparent as they approach the growing point. The Purple Gold Shrimp does not have a large radish root, but rather small fibrous roots. The newly grown spines are waxy yellow and quite bright, but they gradually fade and turn into white or grey-white spines over time. The spines are arranged on the ridges. The plant produces very beautiful red flowers, usually blooming in spring. The flower buds grow from the side of the ball, with the base of the tubular flowers covered in fine spine cushions. The plant requires cross-pollination.
