Meatball Plant Introduction

Xiao Nian Nian (Cotyledon eliseae) belongs to the Crassulaceae family, Cotyledon genus, and is native to the Cape Province of South Africa. It doesn't have a Chinese name because the plant's leaves tend to secrete sticky substances, hence the name Xiao Nian Nian, also spelled Xiao Nian Nian. The leaf tips are not distinct, and the edges have a red border, with the center of the leaves being thicker and the edges thinner, possibly related to the environmental conditions of its native habitat. The plant is an upright, succulent shrub and is not very tall.
