Verticillate Sedum is a perennial herbaceous plant, 40-100 cm tall. The leaves are oblanceolate, narrowly oblanceolate to linearly oblanceolate; leaf stalks are absent. The corymbose inflorescence is terminal, with many flowers; the bracts are the same as the stem leaves. The petals are yellow, narrowly lanceolate to narrowly elliptic-lanceolate; the seeds are ovoid, densely covered with blunt papillae. The flowering period is July to August, and the fruiting period is September to November. The whole plant is used in medicine, with the effects of activating blood and resolving stasis; detoxifying and reducing swelling.
