Ludwigia sedioides is an annual floating-leaf herbaceous plant with slender stems and two types of leaves. The submerged leaves are finely divided, with thread-like lobes, gray-green in color. The floating leaves gather at the top of the stem, small in size, with triangular-shaped leaves, green on the surface, purple-red edges, and light purple on the back. The flowers are chaffy, solitary in the leaf axils, with a capitate stigma and a smooth disc. It is cultivated in the Beijing Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenzhen Honghu Park, and other places.
