The dayflower is a perennial floating leaf plant that grows in shallow water, reaching up to 5 meters in length. The flowers bloom at the top of the branches and are yellow, with a blooming period from May to June. It reproduces through adventitious buds, grows rapidly, and can be used as an aquatic plant for pond greening. It has a significant effect on removing nitrogen and phosphorus from eutrophic waters and can be used as one of the plants for repairing eutrophic waters in river networks.
