Wei Mei Yu has flat and wide spines, with unique and beautiful thorns and flowers, making it an exquisite small cactus variety. The plant is dainty, with 8-10 ridges, a green spherical body, oblong in shape, symmetrical and neat, with spines growing on the warted angular tips, having 6-8 black and white flat spines. It blooms in spring and summer. Wei Mei Yu flowers on both sides, pink or burgundy, with a silky leaf texture, and the flowers have one pistil, green in color; multiple stamens, yellow in color. Pollination is cross-pollination.
