Brave General Wan is spherical or oblate. It has few ridges, round ridges, transverse grooves or color bands different from the ball body between the spination, and the spines vary in length. It enjoys sunlight, with flowers terminal, the receptacle attached with large scales, but without hair and spines. The flowers of Brave General Wan are pink and white, with yellow flowers being relatively rare. When flowering, at least half of the ball body of the plant should be exposed to strong sunlight for a day, making it easier for the buds to bloom. As this genus likes to bloom, many breeders will hybridize, and almost all Gymnocalycium Genus in China are hybrid varieties, with few pure breeds. Even in the original habitat, there are many hybrid varieties, which bloom a lot, and insects cross-pollinate randomly, making them look similar and not very easy to distinguish.
