Ceratopteris thalictroides, an annual herbaceous plant, is a type of fern, belonging to the aquatic plants category. It is soft in texture, 20-50 cm tall, entirely green, and mostly succulent; the rhizome is short. From the stem, 7-8 leaves emerge above the water surface, which are divided into vegetative leaves and reproductive leaves.
