Takasagonookina has a thick stem that gradually extends with growth. The leaves are densely arranged in a rosette shape, with a plant diameter reaching over 30cm. The leaves are round with large, wavy edges and folds. The leaf color ranges from emerald green to reddish-brown, with young leaves being lighter and older leaves darker. The leaf edges often show a pinkish color. The leaf surface is covered with a fine white powder, and older leaves become smooth after the white powder falls off. It blooms in summer with paniculate inflorescences of orange bell-shaped flowers. Takasagonookina thrives in sunlight and requires ample sunlight for vibrant leaf color and a tighter, more beautiful plant form; insufficient sunlight results in lighter leaf color and loose leaf arrangement. During the hot summer, it is important to ensure ventilation and shade, and to avoid direct strong sunlight.
