The Weeping Cherry is a plant belonging to the Rosaceae family, Apple genus, a deciduous small tree that can grow up to 8 meters tall and blooms from April to May. It is a unique plant to China. The Weeping Cherry prefers sunlight, does not tolerate shade, and is not very cold-tolerant. It thrives in warm and humid environments and grows better in sunny, wind-protected areas with deep, loose, fertile soil and good drainage with slightly clayey texture. It is distributed in Sichuan, Anhui, Shaanxi, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Yunnan in mainland China.
