The New Bride, Cotyledon orbiculata ‘Yomeiri Musume’, also known as Mother-in-law entering the family or New Mother-in-law entering the family, belongs to the Crassulaceae Silver Wave Genus. Its native origin is Namibia in southwestern Africa. The leaves of the New Bride are spoon-shaped, and the plant is an upright, succulent shrub that can grow tall. The leaves are opposite, long and spoon-shaped, with a purplish-red tip and a layer of white powder on the entire leaf surface. Under strong light, the tips and edges of the leaves will be redder. It blooms in early summer with a compound corymbose inflorescence that is quite tall, with tube-shaped, drooping flowers that are orange-red, with five-lobed tips, and the flower buds resemble small hanging peppers.
