The Cultivation Techniques and Management Points of Narcissus

About the maintenance precautions and the knowledge of the cultivation techniques and management points of narcissus, let's learn together next.

Narcissus is very popular in the market. After flowering, the flowers are particularly fragrant. There are mainly two cultivation methods for narcissus: hydroponics and soil cultivation. Both methods require the bulbs to be soaked in a carbendazim solution.

For hydroponics, change the water once a day, then gradually every two to three days. For soil cultivation, wait until the carbendazim solution on the bulb's skin has dried before planting it in the soil.

Cultivation Techniques of Narcissus

1. Soaking

Remove the dry and moldy parts of the bulb's skin, as well as the dried and rotten roots at the bottom. Mix carbendazim with water in a container and place the cleaned bulbs in it, soaking for two hours.

After the time is up, take out the bulbs and place them in a hydroponic pot. Add a few drops of root-promoting liquid to the water and put the pot in a well-lit area. Empty the water at night and refill it in the morning.

During the growth of narcissus, if the leaves are too tall, apply a矮壮素 (dwarfing agent) when they first sprout. Mixing the medicine with water can prevent excessive growth.

2. Changing Water

Change the water once a day when just planted, then gradually every two to three days. Once the flower buds form, add water once a week. Hydroponic narcissus does not need to be fertilized; with adequate light and temperature, it can bloom normally. After about 45 days, the narcissus will bloom.

3. Planting

For soil cultivation, also trim the bulb's skin and roots and soak them in a carbendazim solution. When the time is up, take out the bulbs and let them dry before planting them in the soil. Do not cover the sprouts with too much soil.

After planting, water thoroughly, adding a few drops of root-promoting liquid and carbendazim to the water. Place the pot in the sun. When half of the soil is dry, water thoroughly again.

When watering, use a dwarfing agent. Two liquid fertilizers can be applied before flowering. Narcissus loves sunlight, and the supply of light must be sufficient. A temperature range of 4 to 12℃ is suitable.

【Summary】

When cultivating narcissus, it requires a higher demand for light, so the plant should be placed in a well-lit area for care. Regular pruning of the leaves is also necessary, removing withered and yellowed ones. Watering should follow the principle of keeping the roots "wet and dry" and fertilizing should be done according to the plant's growth state to provide the necessary nutrients for flowering.
