Discussion on the Cultivation of Chinese Money Plant
An introduction to the knowledge of hydroponic flowers, the Chinese Money Plant cultivation by flower enthusiasts. Let's get to know it together.
A few days ago, when I replied to a post about the leaves of the Chinese Money Plant, I mentioned that my plant's leaves were as large as the mouth of a yogurt cup. At that time, several flower enthusiasts doubted my claim. Today, I'm posting a few pictures to show that the leaves can really grow this large with proper care! By the way, I'll also share my cultivation methods, hoping it can be a bit of help to those friends who want to make big money!
I think that if you want to grow flowers but can't even keep a Chinese Money Plant alive, then you might as well not grow any other flowers! In fact, the Chinese Money Plant is very easy to grow!
One, this is how I plant it:
1. Take a pot with no holes at the bottom (for planting narcissus, etc.), and put a 2CM layer of soil at the bottom (any soil will do, just not too sticky).
2. Place some stem segments of the Chinese Money Plant on the soil (you can cut off all the leaves), and then cover them with a thin layer of soil.
3. Add water to the pot, so the water level is 1CM below the rim of the pot.
4. Take it out to bask in the sun!
Two, daily maintenance:
1. Keep the water in the pot from drying out.
2. Add a compound fertilizer once a week (dissolve the fertilizer in water, and add it to the pot when watering, but be careful not to pour it on the leaves).
3. Yellow leaves are unsightly and should be cut off frequently. Some crowded leaves can also be pruned to maintain an attractive shape.
Three, on the renewal of the Chinese Money Plant:
Usually, after about three months, because the roots in the pot are too crowded, you'll find that the water dries up easily, as there's not much space to add water. At this point, the plant may become malnourished, and the leaves will grow smaller and more yellow, slowly losing their original beauty! The best method at this time is to renew the plant. I usually have two methods of dealing with it:
1. Plant a new pot as described above, but this method is slower to take shape, so I usually use the second method as follows:
2. Take the plant out of the pot, cut off all the leaves with scissors, and then divide the root part into five. Plant three parts in the pot. This method makes the plant take shape quickly, and in less than a month, it's a new pot! As for the extra parts, I can only throw them away at the moment, as I have no place to plant them.汗!
Four, how to grow Chinese Money Plant with large leaves??
1. Use a large pot, the bigger the better. The pot in my picture is the one I used for planting narcissus during the New Year. It has a diameter of 40CM, and the Chinese Money Plant I grew has a diameter of over 50CM. This plant was planted after the narcissus flowers withered at the end of January. Here's a picture I took today, comparing one leaf with a one-yuan coin (YING)币. As for the yogurt cup, I couldn't find one at the moment, so I used a flashlight as a comparison. Does everyone have a flashlight??
2. Bask in the sun excessively! This point doesn't need to be mentioned, right?
Alright, that's all. Try it out, everyone. I hope we all become millionaires!
