As the first of the famous orchid products, the first-class orchid is popular for its elegant flower appearance and quiet aroma. If you want to grow straight sword leaves and plump flower arrows, the key is to master the exclusive plant formula and the tips of four-season maintenance. This article systematically analyzes eight core points from light regulation to substrate ratio to help you cultivate high-quality orchid plants with luxuriant leaves and flowers. 1. Light management skills 1.1 Scattered light environment creates a native valley environment for large-sized orchids to form semi-shade-friendly characteristics. A 50% sunshade net is used in spring and autumn, and it is increased to 70% in summer to ensure soft light exposure for 3-4 hours per day. It can be judged by observing the leaves: the leaf color is emerald green and bright, the light needs to be reduced if it is yellowed, and the dark green should be appropriately enhanced. 2. Scientific ratio of plant materials 2.1 The gold plant material formula recommends the combination of decomposed pine bark (40%)+ volcanic rock (30%)+ phytolite (20%)+ fermented peanut shells (10%). Water supply strategy 4.1 During the prime period of watering, we follow the principle of "watering winter water in the morning and pouring summer soup in the evening": in winter, choose sunny days to pour thoroughly at 10 a.m., and in summer, water is supplied after 18 o'clock in the evening. Use the dipping basin method to supply water, the water level reaches 1/3 of the basin height, and soak for 15 minutes. 4.2 Water control techniques during flower bud period Keep the plant material "moist but not wet" during the bud period, and control the water content at 35%-40%. During the flower arrow extraction stage, spray the back of the leaves twice a week (completed before 09:00) to avoid water droplets entering the center of the leaves.
