The leaves are dimorphic, with the basal leaves being round and kidney-shaped, closely adhering to the substrate, initially green, later turning brown, marginally entire or wavy, acting as humus collecting leaves, capable of collecting nearby insect carcasses, fallen leaves, rainwater, etc., as nutrients. Other leaves resemble the antlers of a plum blossom鹿, initially erect when young, then drooping as they grow longer, reaching up to 100 cm; the leaves are multi-divided, with a hairy underside. The sori are located on the upper back of the leaf tips, forming a cushion-like appearance, without indusium.
