Plant Introduction of Multi-branched Meihua Grass

Multi-branched Meihua Grass is a perennial herb, 12-20 (30) cm tall. The rhizome is short and thick, occasionally slightly longer; the leaves are ovate to elongated-ovate, occasionally trigonous-ovate, dark green on the upper surface and light green on the lower surface; flowers are solitary at the top of the stem, sepals are elliptical or oblong, petals are white, broadly ovate or inversely ovate; the fruit is ovoid, purplish-brown and glossy after drying. The flowering period is from July to September, and the fruiting period is in October. The flower resembles a daffodil but is smaller, resembling a plum blossom, elegant and dignified, and can be used as a small potted plant or hydroponic flower. It can be used medicinally for its heat-clearing, blood-cooling, anti-inflammatory, and detoxifying properties. It is commonly used to treat jaundice hepatitis, angiitis, and boils.
