Brazilwood is an evergreen tree in the Liliaceae family. It can grow over 6 meters tall, while potted plants can reach 50 to 150 centimeters in height with branches; leaves cluster at the top of the stem, 40 to 90 centimeters long, 6 to 10 centimeters wide, arching and bright green with a glossy finish. The flowers are small and inconspicuous, fragrant. It is a famous new generation of indoor ornamental leaf plants. The plant has an elegant and tidy shape, slightly shade-tolerant. It prefers high temperatures; below 13°C, the plant enters dormancy and stops growing. It thrives in loose, well-drained soil; potted with decomposed leaf soil or peat soil. Propagation by cutting; large quantities of cuttings are imported from abroad. The cutting temperature requirement is higher. It enjoys semi-shade and plenty of fertilizer. Commonly cultivated plants of the same genus include: Delonix regia, Fortune Bamboo, Silver Star Dragon Blood Tree, and Dracaena, among others.
