Some enthusiasts say that these climbing roses are too large and want some smaller, exquisite varieties. After sharing some mini roses, several enthusiasts became interested in my Ji Yuedai roses and expressed their fondness, but couldn't grow them well. Actually, Ji Yuedai can be considered a mini rose, and the maintenance methods are similar. Today, I'll introduce how to care for Ji Yuedai roses.
Many friends may not know what Ji Yuedai roses are, so let me give a brief introduction. Ji Yuedai, also known as姬月季, is a small variety of rose, with plant heights ranging from 10-15 cm. A small pot can be held in one hand, and the flowers are also tiny, with a diameter of about 1 cm, similar in size to a 1-yuan coin. The flower color changes from a girl's pink to white, and the blooming amount is quite large. Many enthusiasts like to grow it on their windowsills at home, which is very delicate.
Many friends might think that this variety is difficult to grow, but in fact, Ji Yuedai roses are quite easy to care for. We just need to follow its living habits to enjoy a beautiful pot. Let's introduce in detail below.
1. Potting Soil Selection
Ji Yuedai roses prefer a well-draining and breathable environment, so when choosing potting soil, we should pay attention to this.陶盆 can be chosen for the pot, as they have better breathability. For soil mixture, you can choose a ratio of peat+perlite 3:1, or use humus soil+fine bark, both of which are suitable for Ji Yuedai rose growth.

2. Watering Tips
Since Ji Yuedai has a small plant shape and the pot is also small, it is recommended to use the immersion method for watering, placing the entire pot in a container with water to let the roots absorb moisture themselves. When watering Ji Yuedai roses, don't wait until the potting soil is completely dry before watering, otherwise the leaves will wilt. We can water when the potting soil is about half dry, and a bamboo skewer can be used to check the dryness level of the soil.
3. Sufficient Light
Ji Yuedai roses have the same growth habits as other roses, preferring a well-lit environment. Therefore, when caring for them, we can place them near a south-facing balcony or on a windowsill in the office. Sufficient light is necessary for the continuous blooming of Ji Yuedai roses. However, during hot summers with high temperatures, it is important to move them indoors to a place with scattered light, avoiding direct sunlight.
4. Fertilizing
Although the flowers of Ji Yuedai are small, the blooming amount is large, and the flowering period is long, so they do require a lot of nutrients. When fertilizing Ji Yuedai roses, we can use a bamboo skewer to make two holes near the edge of the pot and then place 2-3 granules of compound fertilizer. You can also directly spray foliar fertilizer. I usually spray a high-phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, such as monopotassium phosphate or Huaduo 2. However, be careful not to use too high a concentration to avoid burning the leaves. After spraying the foliar fertilizer, place it in a well-ventilated area for maintenance.
