How to propagate roses

An article on green plant knowledge, introducing related experiences of rose bushes, how to propagate roses, and sharing detailed content below.

After the New曼 sisters roses bloom, in the spirit of not wasting anything, I cut the lower branches of the roses and propagate them. Not forgetting the person who dug the well when drinking water, I used the method: "Wall Collision 2.0 version." Those who have visited the rose bar TX should know about it! Thanks for the experience inheritance of the wall collision TX!

6/21 Cut the New曼 sisters roses that have bloomed, pruning at the position below three leaves of the flower.

In the spirit of not wasting, starting to propagate from each leaf with a section of the branch.

Because it was the first time using this method, I didn't expect to succeed, so I didn't take any pictures of the process. The following steps were taken during the second propagation:

1. Cut the branches below the flowers, leaving a small section of the branch for each leaf.

2. Find a plastic cup to observe if it has rooted, cut or burn a hole at the bottom. Fill it with pure vermiculite, I used fine vermiculite.

3. Insert the branches and water thoroughly.

4. Place a tray under it with some water.

5. Place it in a well-lit area, when the temperature is not too high, it doesn't matter if it gets sun or not. When it's very hot, it's safer to put it in a place where the sun can't reach.

I put it outside the south-facing window, and occasionally got some sun in the afternoon. I didn't pay much attention to it, as long as there's always water in the tray, it should be fine. By 7/10, the roots were growing quite well.

7/14 Discovered that the roots actually came out of the small hole, afraid of hurting the roots, started preparing for transplantation.

6. Fill a basin with water and soak the whole cup in the basin. The vermiculite scattered easily, and it was easy to move the roses without hurting the roots. Out of the three branches, only one had a very good root system, while the other two had healing tissue and some white roots starting to grow. Continue step 2 by inserting the two branches with slower root growth back into the pure vermiculite cup to continue rooting.

7. Transplant, water thoroughly, place in a shady and ventilated area to gradually move to a sunny place.

PS.

1. Propagation must include leaves to increase the success rate.

2. This time, I didn't disinfect the pure vermiculite before propagation, and the branches didn't soak in root powder. Those who have conditions and are willing to experiment can try it.
