Balcony Greening Arrangement
Plant Management Tips, small knowledge about home decoration, balcony greening arrangement, next, the editor will introduce to the netizens.
Different types of balconies and different plant materials can create landscapes with different styles. For example, to highlight the decorative effect and form a sharp color contrast, warm-toned plants and flowers can be used to decorate the cold-toned balcony, or vice versa, making the balcony flowers more bright and eye-catching. Balconies that are sun-oriented and have good sunlight should be decorated with heliophytes that are both beautiful in flowers and leaves, while balconies that are shaded and have poor sunlight should be decorated with shade-tolerant and cool-loving ornamental leaf plants.
There are generally several forms of balcony greening arrangement:
1. Hanging type: The hanging type of planting flowers is a very good three-dimensional decoration, which has two methods. One is to hang small containers from the balcony ceiling board to plant hanging orchids, Dischidia, Coleus, etc., to beautify the three-dimensional space. The other is to hang small containers on the edge of the balcony and plant vines or sprawling plants, allowing their branches and leaves to hang over the balcony, beautifying the fence and street scene. The hanging type can choose plants such as Sedum, small-leafed ivy, and morning glory.
2. Flower box type: The flower boxes are usually rectangular, which saves space when placed or hung on the balcony. Potted flowers that have been cultivated well are placed in the flower box, and the flower box is hung on the outside of the balcony with a hook or placed flat on the upper edge of the balcony fence. The flower box type can choose drought-resistant flowers that are sun-loving, branching, flowering profusely, and have a long flowering period, such as Geraniums, Chrysanthemums, Dahlias, and Periwinkles.
3. Vine pot type: Place poles at the four corners of the balcony, place a horizontal pole on top to hold them in place to form a trellis; or place poles at the outer corners of the balcony and tie poles or strings between the poles to form a fence-like structure. Guide the branches and leaves of vine plants such as grapes and melons to the trellis to form a shaded canopy or hedge.
4. Wall-attached type: There are woody vines such as Parthenocissus tricuspidata and Campsis on the inner and outer sides of the fence, greening the fence and nearby walls.
5. Flower shelf type: This is a common method used by the public. On smaller balconies, in order to expand the planting area, you can use stepped or other types of pot shelves to arrange various potted plants according to size and height, creating a three-dimensional potted flower arrangement on the balcony; you can also build the pot shelf out of the balcony to outdoor space, thus increasing the greening area and beautifying the street scene. Note that the types of plants should not be too many or too mixed, they should be layered and have a unified style. You can choose plants such as Chrysanthemums, Roses, Cyclamen, Asparagus, and Coleus.
6. Comprehensive type: Reasonably matching and using the above forms can also achieve good decorative effects and is commonly used in real life.
The amount of flower planting on the balcony should be moderate and should not cause safety hazards. After all, we plant flowers to decorate the room and beautify the environment, to create a more comfortable living environment for ourselves.
