The middle leaflet is elliptical or obovate in shape, nearly hairless on the surface, and has short pubescence on the back. The cyme is opposite to the leaves, with light green flowers; the berries are spherical or oblate, turning purple when ripe. Flowering period is May, and fruit ripening period is August to September.
