Flower Mountain Grape Plant Introduction

The wild grape is a perennial climber. The plant resembles grapes but is smaller. The stems are brownish-red and hairy. It has tendrils at the nodes. Leaves are alternate, with petioles, palmately lobed leaves, and the underside has brownish-red felt-like hair, while the upper surface is dark green and hairless. In summer and autumn, it produces flower spikes with yellow-green small flowers, with five petals that slightly join at the tip. They often fall off without blooming. It bears black spherical small berries. Flowering period is from June to July. Fruit period is from September to October. Wild grapes are the raw material for making wine, and the wine made from them is deep red and beautiful in color, with excellent taste and quality, making it a good beverage.
