Qixianyu can grow up to a height of 15 centimeters and a diameter of 10 centimeters as it ages. Common flower colors include orange, red, and white (the white ones may be a different variety). Qixianyu is not cold-tolerant and needs to maintain a temperature of around 10 degrees Celsius in winter. It is best to change the soil once a year, not necessarily to a larger pot. Avoid direct sunlight. Propagation: Qixianyu rarely produces lateral buds and is suitable for propagation by sowing. The sowing temperature should be above 30℃.
What is peculiar about the Qixianyu species is that when growing at low altitudes, it has spines when young, which will fall off as it matures, while those growing at high altitudes will not have this occurrence.
