The Symbolism of Cactus

The symbolism of the cactus: resilience, taking love to the end.

The Legend of Cactus

It is said that originally, the cactus could not bloom and did not have the sharp spines it has now. It was just a green ball, very unremarkable but with an extremely stubborn and tenacious vitality. Even in the barren and dry desert, it could remain lush and decorate the earth.

There was a mansion owner who loved flowers very much and brought back many rare flowers from all over the world to the estate. He set up a greenhouse and specifically hired a gardener to cultivate them. For some unknown reason, a cactus was brought back, perhaps someone randomly pulled one out of the desert. The gardener didn't know what this thing was, but seeing its green lushness and apparent vitality, he found a flower pot, shoveled some soil, and put it in the corner of the greenhouse.

The colorful and graceful flowers competed to bloom, creating a beautiful scene. The villagers around the estate all rushed to visit. As these beautiful flowers gradually became proud, they began to mock the silent cactus, believing it was not worthy to be in the same greenhouse with them. The cactus was also very angry, its stubbornness flaring up, puffing itself up and trying to grow a flower bud. But instead of a flower bud, it grew sharp spines, only to be mocked even more.

But the cactus did not believe in evil, and instead worked even harder until its entire body was covered in spines. Just then, a fairy of flowers passing by saw it and was moved by the cactus's indomitable spirit. She used her magical flower stick to touch the cactus, immediately implanting a precious flower seed. Then the cactus finally grew a flower bud and bloomed into a flower that no one dared to undervaluing, beautiful and enchanting! The flowers that had mocked it were all surprised, their eyes wide open, and they all closed their mocking mouths!

Because the flower seed was given by the fairy of flowers, it naturally acquired a beautiful name—Cactus!
