1. Yunnan
The region with the highest number of succulents is Yunnan, with its unique geographical advantage of eternal spring-like weather. The succulents grown here do not have a dormancy period and grow all year round. Therefore, Yunnan is also the largest wholesale origin of succulents in China, including both plants and succulents. The number of succulents produced in Yunnan is the highest.

2. Fujian (Zhangzhou)
Fujian Zhangzhou, or even the entire Fujian region, is engaged in the production of succulents. Mainly focusing on cacti and Haworthia, these two categories are produced in large quantities in Zhangzhou, accounting for about 70% of the national output. The cacti you may have bought might be from Zhangzhou. In addition, there are also cacti and Agave. China has a 'Cactus Kingdom' located in Fujian, with an entire mountain covered in cacti, which is quite spectacular.
4. Jiangsu (Suqian, Shuyang)
The main production areas for flowering plants are Suqian and Shuyang in Jiangsu. 80% of flowering greenery comes from these two places, followed by Chongqing. The production of succulents in these two regions is slightly lower, ranking the lowest compared to other cities, mainly focusing on flowering greenery, especially Suqian, which is well-known for its floral industry.
3. Shandong (Weifang)
Shandong's Weifang and Weihai are also production areas for succulents. Weifang is known as China's vegetable capital, with comfortable climatic conditions suitable for the growth of vegetables and plants. It serves as a transfer station for flowers in the northern region. In recent years, with the rise of succulents, the industry has shifted to focus on succulents. There are many greenhouses for succulent propagation in the area, with higher quality succulents and slightly higher prices, making it the best overall state for succulents nationwide.
Each production area has its own characteristics. For example, succulents from the Yunnan region are large and inexpensive, while those from Zhangzhou are complete in variety and also inexpensive.
