DIY Hanging Pot

The editor explains the content of home decoration, DIY hanging pot (rope), let's get to know it together.

There are many materials that can be used for making DIY hanging pots. This article is about a hanging pot made of rope by a flower enthusiast. The advantage is that it can be flexibly made according to the existing flower pot, the material is simple, and it has a unique style when matched with plants like succulents. If you also have some rope, let's follow the flower enthusiast to make a DIY hanging pot.

1. Prepare the rope, I used about 15 meters (I'm not professional, it's probably this length, if you want to make it bigger, you'll need more rope, so it's recommended to buy more).

2. Cut 60 cm (leave more for a larger pot, the excess can be cut off later) into 8 segments, put every two segments together, find the midpoint, place them in the shape shown in the picture, and secure the midpoint.

3. Fold the remaining rope in half to find the midpoint, put it on one of the strands (with one end on top and the other end going through from below), then wrap around the center in an alternating pattern. Be sure to look at the picture carefully as shown: cross the long rope over and under before putting on the next strand of rope.

4. When weaving the fourth or fifth round, separate the originally aligned ropes, now there are 16 strands, place them evenly spaced, and continue weaving as before………

5. Prepare a round object, such as a wine bottle or cola bottle, as long as it's the same size as the hanging basket you're planning to make (I used the core of a roll of toilet paper, but a larger one, not the one you usually use in the bathroom, haha). Stop when the base is woven to the same size as the bottom of the bottle you prepared. Align the circle with the bottom of the bottle, secure the remaining 16 strands of rope (the shorter ones) with a rubber band, and continue weaving until the desired height is reached. I wanted to see the effect so I changed the color, the ends of the threads can be glued directly, be sure not to glue them to the bottle, but to the previously woven rope, otherwise you won't be able to take it off.

6. Remove the rubber band and take out the bottle (paper tube), and there you go, the basic shape is already completed. Glue the ends of the threads as before, and that's it.

7. Do you also think it's a bit monotonous like me? Make some flowers. Take a piece of rope and roll it up. (Please ignore the fingers, don't complain, please.) Find a spot, apply glue, stick it on, hold it tight, and press it down. Then, skip one rope, take the next one, roll it up, apply glue, press it down, and stick it. Do this, rolling one and sticking one, making a total of 8, and the other 8 strands of rope are used as the strings for the hanging pot.

8. The remaining 8 can be tied in pairs or all together, and then a rope hanging pot is finished, and you can put a flower pot in it.
