Fleshy plant general
Plant management tips, experience with fleshy plants, General fleshy plants, specifically introduced as follows:
General Conophytum bilobum --- Aizoaceae Conophytum, produced in South Africa and Namibia. prefers warm, dry and sunny environment, drought-resistant and semi-shaded, afraid of waterlogging, afraid of extreme heat and not cold-resistant, summer high temperature dormancy.
Optimal growth temperature: 15-25 degrees, not lower than 10 degrees in winter; the culture soil can be mixed with 2 parts of decayed leaf soil and 1 part of vermiculite, or a mixture of peat, vermiculite and perlite; during the growing period, water should be grasped when it is not dry and pour thoroughly when watering. In summer high temperature, the plant is in a state of dormancy or semi-dormancy, the growth is slow or completely stops, it should be placed in a well-ventilated place for maintenance, do not fertilize, properly shade, avoid direct sunlight, and control watering to prevent rotting of the plant due to hot and humid conditions; fertilization during the growing season is generally once a month.
Propagation methods can be carried out by sowing and dividing plants. Sowing is mostly done in autumn, and the sowing soil is generally peat soil mixed with sand or vermiculite. After the seeds are soaked with insecticidal and fungicidal water, they are broadcast flatly and covered with film (ventilated for two hours every day). Generally, they germinate in about a week, after germination, gradually remove the film and increase light.
Division propagation is combined with pot changing in autumn. The tufted plants are separated and dried for about 3 days. After the wounds are dry, they are planted separately, and both rooted and rootless ones can survive.
The above is the basic maintenance method of the fleshy plant general (Conophytum bilobum), hoping to be helpful to you!
