Introduction to Large Flowered Stapelia Plant

The Large Flowered Stapelia is a perennial succulent herb, 0.2-0.3 meters high. The stem is thick, tetragonal, erect, branching at the base, with toothed protuberances, gray-green in color, resembling a rhinoceros horn. It flowers in autumn, with large, five-lobed, star-shaped flowers that resemble starfish, light yellow with light purplish-black horizontal stripes, edges densely covered with fine hair, and emit a foul odor. It attracts flies for pollination with its bad smell, hence the name Stinking Meat Flower. The flowering period is July to August. It is strong, drought-resistant and semi-shady tolerant, and thrives in fertile, well-drained sandy soil. The succulent stem of the Large Flowered Stapelia is erect, resembling a rhinoceros horn, with unique flower shape, like a starfish, making it a beautiful indoor ornamental flower. It can be used to decorate the desk and tea table in the study and living room.
