Fleshy Plant Buddha Head Jade Introduction

Buddha Head Jade (Lavrania cactiformis var. felinum), belonging to the Asclepiadaceae family and Buddha Head Jade genus, is native to southern Africa. The plant has no leaves and possesses a fleshy stem. When young, the stem is spherical, gradually becoming cylindrical as it matures, with a soft and tender texture. The epidermis is gray-green with dense triangular or hemispherical, conical papillae, resembling the spiral hair on the head of a Buddha statue, hence the name "Buddha Head Jade."
