How to wake up mountain roses
Known as the "green rose that never withers", mountain roses have become a star variety in the fleshy world due to their unique dormant characteristics. Whenever summer comes, it will enter a dormant state like suspended animation and come back to life after the autumn cools down. Mastering scientific awakening skills and post-maintenance methods is the key to cultivating healthy mountain roses. 1. Mountain rose awakening skills 1. Temperature control strategy When the ambient temperature is below 28℃ for 7 consecutive days, the wake-up procedure can be started. The temperature difference between day and night is controlled within the range of 8-10℃ by spraying in the morning and evening to cool down and increasing the density of sunshade nets. Pay attention to avoid rapid cooling. It is recommended to reduce the temperature by 2-3℃ every day. 2. The water wake-up method adopts a gradual water replenishing method: pour 10ml of water along the basin wall in the first week, increase it to 30ml in the second week, and thoroughly pour it through in the third week. Combined with the bamboo stick test method, water is replenished when 2/3 of the pot soil is dry, which can not only wake up the root system but also prevent root rot. 3. The key points of ventilation management are to maintain an air flow rate of 0.5-1m/s per hour, and small circulation fans can be installed. Pay special attention to the need to remove stagnant water in the heart of the leaves by blowing air in time to avoid the formation of a high-temperature and high-humidity pathogenic environment. 2. System maintenance after awakening 1. The light control plan adopts the "3+3 progressive method" in the early stages of awakening: 3 hours of morning light per day for the first 3 days, and 2 hours of light per week thereafter. Ideally, the scattered light should be maintained for 6-8 hours per day, and the ultraviolet intensity should be controlled between 3000-5000LUX. 2. The scientific watering system implements the "dry and wet cycle management method": use soil with 40% of perlite, and extend each watering interval to 12-15 days. Combined with the blade monitoring method, when the outer leaves are slightly wrinkled, the immersion basin treatment is carried out, and the duration is controlled within 15 seconds. 3. The nutrient supply plan uses a low-concentration nutrient solution with an EC value of 1.2-1.5mS/cm, and the ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium is adjusted to 1:2:3. It is recommended to adopt the principle of "thin fertilizer and frequent application", supplement decomposed sheep manure water (diluted 1000 times) twice a month, and combine it with trace element foliar fertilizer once a quarter.
After mastering the physiological characteristics of mountain roses, you can flexibly use the seasonal management calendar: focus on preventing and controlling scale insects from March to May, strictly control water from June to August, strengthen light from September to November, and stay above 5℃ for winter from December to February. By establishing a complete maintenance system, this "mountain spirit" will bloom in the most charming manner.
