It is believed that most flower enthusiasts, like Huahua, have grown their first pot of flowers, which is the very cute succulent plant. Succulents have always captured the hearts of countless flower enthusiasts with their adorable appearance. However, succulent plants are not as easy to care for as flower enthusiasts imagine. It is a certain challenge for新手 flower enthusiasts to grow succulents well. Today, Huahua is here to share 5 of my own experiences in caring for succulents, hoping to help everyone!
1. Soil
Succulents prefer to grow in dry soil environments, mainly in loose and breathable sandy soil, because such soil has better drainage and aeration, which is more suitable for succulent growth. Also, when you buy succulents from the flower market, it is best to choose a warm day to change the potting soil for them, as the soil that comes with them is not very suitable for their healthy growth.
2. Temperature
One of the most important aspects of caring for succulents is to ensure a suitable growth temperature. Generally speaking, 15 to 25 degrees Celsius is the most suitable for their growth. However, as long as the temperature does not exceed 35 degrees or fall below 5 degrees, most succulents will not enter a dormant period and will continue to grow normally.
However, when ensuring a suitable temperature, it is also necessary to ensure a good ventilation environment when caring for succulents. Otherwise, if they grow in a stuffy and hot environment for a long time, they will become very listless and affect their ornamental value.

3. Water
Succulent leaves are relatively thick and have a certain water storage capacity, so their requirement for water is not high. In general, they can be watered relatively frequently in spring and autumn, about once a week, every half month in summer, and once a month in winter. Flower enthusiasts should also summarize their watering experience based on the actual situation of their own succulents. Signs of dehydration, such as withered and soft leaves, indicate that it is time to water them thoroughly to gradually recover.
4. Light
Succulent plants also have certain requirements for light. They prefer sunny weather, and if flower enthusiasts can ensure they receive more than 8 hours of adequate sunlight every day, the succulents at home will grow very beautifully. Therefore, it can be placed directly on a south-facing balcony or windowsill for care in the spring, autumn, and winter seasons.
However, in the summer, it is necessary to provide some shade for them because too strong light can burn their leaves, leading to unhealthy growth of the succulents, or even threatening their lives.
