Ruschia indurata Plant Introduction

Ruschia indurata does not have a Chinese name. It is a perennial succulent sub-shrub with thin, smooth, light green or light yellow-green stems, and old stems are brownish yellow. The entire plant grows upright, and the stems of large, mature colonies will creep along the ground.

Ruschia indurata has larger flowers that bloom in a light purple color during the summer. Daily maintenance requires plenty of sunlight and a cool, dry environment. It can tolerate semi-shade but dislikes waterlogging and avoids hot, humid conditions. It has the habit of growing in cool seasons and dormant in high summer temperatures.

Ruschia indurata is not particular about soil requirements, as long as the potting mix consists of peat and coarse sand to maintain good drainage.
