The Yueying Series Xingying succulent is a horticultural variety of the Crassulaceae family Simplocarpeae genus, with the scientific name Echeveria elegans potosina. The leaves of Xingying are tightly arranged in a circular pattern, spoon-shaped with a small leaf tip, and the entire plant's leaves slightly gather towards the center. The leaf surface is slightly concave, the back has a mild ridge, and it is not round. The leaf surface is smooth with a fine white powder, the leaves are always嫩 green (fresh green), the edges are semi-transparent, and when the temperature difference is large, the white powder on the leaves makes the plant look particularly adorable.
Xingying has a moderate growth rate with small semi-woody stems, does not grow tall easily, and young seedlings do not like to grow lateral buds. Only after the plant flowers and matures will it produce a large number of lateral buds. Clumps of Xingying are very beautiful, with flowers in the form of inverted bell-shaped spikes, having five petals, cross-pollinated, and the propagation methods of Xingying include sowing, dividing, cutting the top, and leaf insertion.
Spring and autumn are the growing seasons for Xingying, and it can be exposed to full sunlight. In summer, it will enter dormancy, requiring ventilation and shading, with 3 to 4 times of微量 water (micro water) every month, and a small amount given at the edge of the pot to maintain the plant's roots from drying out due to excessive dryness. In summer, try not to let water accumulate in the leaf heart as it is prone to rot. In winter, gradually reduce watering when the temperature is below 3 degrees Celsius, keep the potting soil dry below 0 degrees, and try to maintain a temperature not lower than minus 3 degrees Celsius. This will allow the plant to safely survive winter, and in winter, water less to prevent root rot.
