East Beauty is a hybrid variety of Pachyphytum, also known as Winter Beauty. The plant is a perennial, hairless, succulent herb with leaves arranged in a circular pattern, spoon-shaped with pointed tips and rounded leaf edges. The leaves are thick, smooth with a slight powdery coating, ranging in color from blue-green to gray-white. With ample sunlight, the leaves are tightly packed, and the tips and centers of the leaves will have a slight pink hue. In low light, the leaf color becomes light gray-green, the leaves become narrower and longer, and the spacing between the leaves stretches.
The flower stalk of East Beauty is very tall. The cluster inflorescence has red flowers, the blooms are upside-down bell-shaped, arranged in串状, with five petals each, very beautiful. They bloom in early summer and can be cross-pollinated. The main propagation methods for East Beauty are by sowing seeds, dividing the plant, cutting the top, and leaf insertion.
