Ping Pong Echeveria Plant Introduction

Ping Pong Echeveria is a succulent plant belonging to the Echeveria genus of the Crassulaceae family. It is a cultivated variant of Echeveria. The plant's leaves degenerate into flat-ovate shapes, forming an upright, succulent shrub that can grow tall. The leaves are opposite, flat-ovate to round-ovate, with purple-red rounded leaf tips and a layer of white powder on the leaf surface. Under strong light, the leaf tips' edges will turn redder. It flowers in early summer with a compound corymbose panicle, the inflorescence is tall, the small flowers are tubular and pendulous, blooming in orange-red, with five-lobed tips, and the flower buds look like small hanging chili peppers.

Ping Pong Echeveria requires a plenty of sunlight, a cool and dry environment, and it can tolerate partial shade but is afraid of waterlogging and dislikes hot and humid conditions. It has the habit of growing in cool seasons and dormant in high summer temperatures. The growing period of the plant is from September to June of the following year (the growing period varies depending on the environment of the plant enthusiasts). If the plant does not receive enough light, it is prone to etiolation (as Echeveria is naturally a tall variety), the space between the leaves will be longer, making the plant appear loose and the stems become very fragile. However, plants grown in full sun will have a shorter, stocky shape with relatively compact leaf arrangement.
