The Dancing Tengu is a succulent plant from the Crassulaceae family, which prefers a cool, dry, and well-ventilated environment. It enjoys sunlight and does not require much water. Excessive watering, on the other hand, can easily lead to diseases such as powdery mildew or rot. The plant can be semi-shaded, but if kept in too much shade, the internode spacing will increase, although this does not affect its growth. It is usually green, but the leaves will gradually turn red with increased sunlight exposure. During summer dormancy, reduce watering for the Dancing Tengu, and it can continue to grow in winter. Propagation is mainly through cuttings.
