The Steel Leaf Echeveria is a succulent plant belonging to the Sedum family, also known as Rigid Leaf Echeveria. It is a medium to large-sized variety with a sturdy stem that gradually elongates and forms an old trunk as it grows. The leaves of the Steel Leaf Echeveria change slightly with each season, having thin edges with minor wrinkles on the sides, a pointed tip, and thick centers. The middle of the leaves is slightly sunken, and the edges are slightly folded towards the center. The plant has a blue-red leaf color, with a light powdery coating on the leaves. The edges of the leaves are often pink, and in winter, the edges can become very red. In low light, the leaf color is green and can easily stretch, with the older leaves losing their powdery coating and becoming smooth. The Steel Leaf Echeveria produces a cluster inflorescence with bell-shaped, yellow-red flowers. The plant needs plenty of sunlight to make the leaf color vibrant and the plant compact and beautiful with thick leaves. Insufficient sunlight results in a lighter leaf color, loose leaf arrangement, stretching, and thinner leaves.
