Thick-leaved Plant:天皇座 Botanical Attributes
Chinese Name天皇座 Alias Latin Name Haworthia pumila cv.'Donut' Family Liliaceae Genus Haworthia Origin and DistributionThick-leaved Plant:天皇座 Plant Introduction
天皇座 is an old variety of thick leaves, which grows slowly and does not easily produce side buds. The plant is a perennial succulent herb, with leaves densely arranged in a rosette pattern on the stem axis, leaf shape is triangular lanceolate, tip acute; the leaf surface has white wart-like dots resembling a donut, and the leaf edges have connected white warts, like tears of an angel, though less continuous than angel's tears. The entire leaf is deep green, with slightly sparse wart arrangement, individual warts slightly larger, new leaves have paler warts, while old leaves have less distinct green warts. The flowering period of the plant is in spring and summer, with a raceme inflorescence. Pollination must be cross-pollination, and can also be intergeneric hybrid pollination. If not pollinated, the flower peduncle can be cut off, otherwise the flower spike will consume the plant's nutrients.
