Yunnan Stone莲花 is a succulent plant of the Crassulaceae family, native to Yunnan, China. The name "Yunnan" is the abbreviation for Yunnan, hence the name. It is a unique variety of China. Yunnan Stone莲花 appears blue-gray-black in the sun, with plump leaves and a beautiful shape. The entire plant is covered with short villi, with a plant height of 5 to 10 centimeters. The main root is thin and long, up to 10 centimeters in length and about 1 millimeter in diameter, with lateral roots and many fibrous fine roots. The stem of the plant is erect, unbranched, and covered with villi. The plant has a rosette shape, with a small leaf cluster, about 2.5 to 5 centimeters in diameter. The leaves are ovate to lanceolate, 1.2 to 2.5 centimeters long, 4 to 5 millimeters wide, with an abruptly pointed tip and a very short tip. The leaf base gradually narrows, without a petiole, covered with dense villi; leaves are circumferentially alternate. Yunnan Black Claw莲花 has an umbel inflorescence, about 3 centimeters long and 2.5 centimeters wide, with cluster-like small flowers; the style is short. The fruit matures around September. Yunnan Stone莲花 is produced in Dali and Dongchuan; it grows in rock crevices at an altitude of 2,500 to 2,700 meters.
