Lian Si (Cheveria secunda fa. Byrnesii) is a succulent plant belonging to the Crassulaceae family, Simplocarpeae genus. It is a medium to small-sized variety that remains green throughout the year. In low light, the leaves appear light and tender green, and the leaf tips may show a slight red color when there is a significant temperature difference. The leaf surface has no powdery substance. Lian Si needs ample sunlight for the leaf color and edges to become vibrant, and the plant shape to be more compact and beautiful. Insufficient sunlight results in lighter leaf color, with the leaves arranged loosely and elongated. Good lighting will make the leaves arrange themselves very neatly.
Lian Si requires plenty of sunshine and a cool, dry environment. It can tolerate semi-shade but is afraid of waterlogging and dislikes humid heat.
