Aloinopsis rubrolineata, of the Aizoaceae family Mesembryanthemum genus, is native to the Cape Province of South Africa. It is a small, perennial, succulent herb. The leaves of the plant are similar to Bijlia dilatata, resembling a miniature version. Opposite leaves join at the base to form a succulent sheath, with the edges and the keel on the leaf back being harder, with distinct lines and raised small bumps on the leaf surface, joining at the base. Young plants grow singly, while older ones cluster densely. Leaf color ranges from light green to dark green, with flowers emerging from the gap between two leaves, displaying a white and red color, about 2-3 cm in diameter, usually with only one flower per plant, and the blooming of clustered plants can be very spectacular.
