Sirius Succulent
Attributes of Sirius Succulent Plant
Chinese Name Sirius Nickname Latin Name Echeveria agavoides Sirius Genus Crassulaceae Simulated Stonecrop Genus Distribution of OriginSirius is a cultivated variety of Dongyun, a medium to small-sized variety with smooth leaves, slightly elliptical in shape, and leaf edges that are slightly reddened. Under strong sunlight, the color appears bright red. Sirius has a thick neck that gradually thickens with growth. The leaves are densely arranged in a rosette shape, broadly ovate with a slightly raised keel-like back and pointed tips. The leaf color is usually gray-green to white-green, and during large day-night temperature differences or in winter low temperatures, the edges and tips of the leaves may turn partially bright red. In low light conditions, the leaf edges are barely red, and the leaves tend to stretch out. The red edges of old leaves are usually maintained in small dots throughout the year, only new leaves have red tips. The leaf surface is smooth and does not easily accumulate water. Sirius requires ample sunlight for the leaf color and edges to be vibrant, and the plant shape to be tighter and more beautiful. After years of clustering, the plant can be very spectacular, with branched inflorescences, and the flowers are slightly yellow with five lobes.
