It has a large plant form, is easy to care for, has green leaves all year round, and can also be admired when not flowering. It is shade-tolerant, does not easily shed leaves, has a high cost-performance, but has a low flowering frequency, blooming only twice a year.

Currently, I still have four osmanthus trees, two golden osmanthus, and two four-season osmanthus. I think these two varieties are the best, suitable for home planting. They can easily survive the winter indoors without any problems and are not easy to freeze to death. August osmanthus and red osmanthus are very easy to freeze to death during the seedling stage and are not easy to raise.
Raising osmanthus well depends entirely on experience. The longer you raise it, the better it will be. For beginners, it is easy to encounter problems such as curling and wrinkling of leaves and not flowering. It is difficult to solve these problems. From personal experience, the new branches that sprout are more likely to bloom, while the old branches have only a few buds that bloom. Every spring, as soon as the temperature reaches above 18 degrees, you can prune, cutting off withered, broken, and scarred branches.
Wait for the new branches to grow, and the new branches that grow in the same year can bloom in the same year. The more new branches there are, the number of osmanthus flowers will also increase accordingly.
